आहोर . कस्बे के जोधपुर तिराहे पर स्थित बाबा रामदेव मंदिर में शनिवार दोपहर को पुलिस महानिरीक्षक (कानून व्यवस्था) आरपी सिंह का मेघवाल समाज के लोगों द्वारा माला व साफा पहनाकर स्वागत किया गया। जिला परिषद सदस्य एवं आहोर के पूर्व प्रधान भंवरलाल मेघवाल, भीमराव अम्बेडकर सेवा समिति के अध्यक्ष हिम्मताराम मेघवाल, सर्व मेघवंश महासभा के राष्ट्रीय सचिव भंवरलाल, जिलाध्यक्ष शिवलाल मेघवाल एवं समाज के प्रतिष्ठित लोगों ने आईजी आरपी सिंह एवं पुलिस उपधीक्षक देवकिशन शर्मा को माला व साफा पहनाकर स्वागत किया। इस मौके पर मसराराम, उदयराज, वागाराम, खेताराम, हजाराम, शिवलाल सहित मेघवाल समाज के कई लोग उपस्थित थे। इसके साथ ही उम्मेदपुर गांव में भी मेघवाल समाज द्वारा आईजी का स्वागत किया गया।

मेघवाल समाज ने उठाई 16 प्रतिशत आरक्षण की मांग

बांसवाड़ा & राजस्थान प्रदेश मेघवाल समाज ने एससी वर्ग को पूर्व में प्राप्त 16 प्रतिशत आरक्षण की पुन: मांग की हैं। इसको लेकर समाज की बैठक में आगामी दिनों में जनजागरण करने का निर्णय किया हैं। दूसरी ओर रविवार को बडग़ांव में हुई बैठक में इस मामले को लेकर जहां निर्णय किया गया वहीं प्रदेश मेघ सेना का सहसंगठन का गठन किया। बैठक की अध्यक्षता मोगजी भाई बडग़ांव, मुख्य अतिथि शंकरलाल मेघवाल घोड़ी तेजपुर व विशिष्ट अतिथि हीरालाल सेनावासा थे। इस मौके पर वक्ताओं ने समाज में व्याप्त कुरीतियों को खत्म करने, समाज में रूढ़ीवादी परंपराओं को समाप्त करने, बाल विवाह रोकने, सामाजिक आयोजनों में अनावश्यक खर्च को कम करने को लेकर विचार विमर्श किया। दूसरी ओर मेघ सेना की गठित कार्यकारिणी में अध्यक्ष गोविंद मेघवाल, उपाध्यक्ष गौतम भाई व प्रकाशचंद्र, महासचिव रमेश, विनोद, नारायण चुने गए हैं। सदस्य के रूप में मांगीलाल, अमृतलाल, गौतम, वि_ल, रामलाल, तुलसीराम, हीरालाल, दिनेश, शंकर आदि प्रमुख रूप से शामिल किए गए हैं।

राजस्थान मेघवाल समाज जिला शाखा की बैठक जोधपुर के नेहरू पार्क में पूर्व विधायक पोकरलाल परिहार की अध्यक्षता मे हुई। इसमें समाज का विवाह योग्य युवक-युवति परिचय सम्मेलन 26 जून को आयोजित करने का निर्णय हुआ। इसमेें किसी भी गांव, शहर, राज्य से मेघवाल समाज के युवक-युवतियों को शामिल किया जाएगा। जिलाध्यक्ष नथमल खींची ने बताया कि 19 जून को मेघसेना की ओर रैली जालौरी गेट चौराहे से रवाना होकर सोजती गेट, पावटा ज्योति बा फूले पार्क होते हुए अंबेडकर सर्किल नागौरी गेट पर बाबा साहब को माल्यार्पण कर समाप्त की जायेगी। जिसमें मेघवाल समाज के सांसद विधायक, अधिकारी, कर्मचारी, समाजसेवी सभी भाग लेंगे।
